Trauma Recovery

Healing our past can begin a new relationship with ourselves based on authentic self-love and compassion.

Trauma is held in our bodies, and in our stories. It can show up as chronic fatigue, irritability, anxiety, hyper vigilance, an inability to feel at ease, difficulty in relationships, and more. Often after a trauma, you may experience overwhelming grief and disconnection from your life. Sometimes we try to make sense of what happened by blaming ourselves or groups of “others”. We may even begin playing small.

When recovering from traumatic experience(s), a mind-body approach can support integration in the nervous system, and add nuance to your story. As more spaciousness and curiosity develops, naturally we find discover new ways to respond to how we (un)consciously defended against what happened to survive.

Recovering from a traumatic experience(s) can add nuance to your story, and widen your capacity to hold reactions.
