Hi, I’m Kiri

My passion is to help people on their path to healing and growth, navigating life’s complexities, fostering better connections with themselves and others, and cultivating a profound sense of wholeness, inner peace, and life purpose. I love to work with folks who possess intersecting identities, embrace alternative lifestyles, harbor unique perspectives, engage in spiritual practices, and/or face marginalization.

As a transpersonal somatic therapist, I use a collaborative and culturally sensitive approach informed by relational, attachment, existential, and trauma-informed frameworks. My counseling philosophy is rooted in social justice and multiculturalism, recognizing that many struggles and traumas are caused by systemic oppression. I have advanced training in Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Hakomi, which serve as my primary therapeutic modalities, complemented by mindfulness-based somatic techniques. My expertise encompasses trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, relationships, polyamory, BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ issues, and blended families. I specialize in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and Psychedelic Integration. I leverage my background as a hatha yoga teacher, meditator, and Buddhist to seamlessly integrate mindfulness and body-oriented practices into therapy.

I bring my humanness, curiosity, and sense of humor to the therapeutic space. My authentic nature is very Kirious, playful, compassionate, tender, caring, reflective, firey at times, but mostly grounded and relaxed. I am biracial and bisexual and have practiced both monogamy and polyamory. I come from a family marked by divorce and have cultivated a blended mixed-race family of my own. I consider myself to be a deeply spiritual and mystical person. I value esoteric and Eastern healing practices such as reiki, shamanism, bioenergetics, Tai Chi, kung fu, yoga, meditation, and other energy healing modalities that harmonize well with Western psychotherapy.

My greatest wish is for all sentient beings to be happy, healthy, and free!

  • Yes! I offer telehealth therapy for clients who reside in California, Colorado and Washington State.

I currently can only see folks in-person in California.

  • Not at the moment. I am an "Out of Network" provider for all PPO insurance plans. In some cases, services may be reimbursed in part by your health insurance plan if you have out of network behavioral health coverage. I can provide you with a “superbill' that you can submit to your insurance.

  • Yes, I offer prospective clients a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit.

  • Therapy is most effective when conducted on an ongoing and consistent basis. I recommend sessions on a bi-monthly or weekly basis. If you are experiencing a crisis, sudden loss, or significant life change, then short-term therapy can be helpful to assist you through a challenging time.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, kindly do so by text, call, or email at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Any appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled less than 48 hours will be charged the full session rate. If you intend to reschedule your appointment, please be aware that I cannot guarantee another available time within the same time slot or within the same week.

The only exceptions for late cancellations are for emergencies (i.e., death or birth in the family, an accident) or serious illnesses or injuries of yourself or someone you care for. Work or travel-related conflicts will not be exceptions to this policy. This policy is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. Fees incurred on same day cancellations may be waived in the event of an emergency on a case-by-case basis
