Hi, I’m Leigh.

I am a lover of nature, an avid learner, a born southerner and a lifelong theater kid with a love for writing and performance. I came into the field of therapy by way of my own recovery and journey home through learning to be more present, exploring self in community, attuned movement (and later yoga teacher training) and so many profound experiences of remembering wholeness through creativity, inner work and the attuned care and support of others. It’s hard to think of a more rewarding way to spend a work day than to support folx finding their own way home to themselves and each other. Areas of special interest : mind-body re-connection, spiritual and psychedelic exploration and integration, creative process, laughter as medicine, creating personal ritual and practice in daily life.

The therapeutic environment I offer is strengths-based and operates from a systems theory and anti-oppression lens. By this I mean I don’t know how we explore our own personal healing without having a conversation about the context of implicit/explicit messaging we receive about ourselves from our lived experiences and society at large. Our space together will invite a playful, compassionate, mind-body aware, growth-centered approach to empowerment and healing. I have extensive training and experience supporting recovery in the arenas of: eating disorders/disordered eating, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management and life transition.

Offered modalities depend on the type of support being sought by a client but all my work includes a healthy dose of psychoeducation and neuroscience - I love helping folx learn about their own mind-body connection to support them stepping into the empowerment of being their own healer. For specific and short term therapy I employ brief solution-focused approaches as well as ACT and target specific EMDR. Other more process-based modalities include: Sensorimotor psychotherapy, strengths-based parts work and creative arts integration. I am excited to work with clients interested in psychedelic integration and am trained in psychedelic assisted therapy with the Beckley Academy and am a certified KAP (ketamine assisted psychotherapy) therapist.
